Michele & Nick Herntier's Wedding

Ring Bearer & Flower Girl for one of my best friends' wedding, Michele O'Brien.  On May 28, 2011 she became Michele Herntier in a beautiful ceremony at Centennial Lakes in Edina, MN.  The kids did a wonderful job & had TONS of fun after at the dinner & dance!

Although the wedding was supposed to take place outside, at the last minute we had to move everything inside because of some sever weather & a serious downpour.  Michele was so disappointed & as soon as she started down the aisle, the rain stopped & the sun shined.

Trying to sit quietly on Mommy's lap during the ceremony was hard.  All day Daniel was told, no running, don't get dirty, stay here.  He just wanted to be Free!  Thank God Grandma Rose Ann & Boppa Reuben brought more juice & treats to keep him busy.

Both Rachael & Daniel were so happy to see another best friend of mine, Auntie Chela, at the ceremony.  She had recently moved to Cleveland & I hadn't told the kids for sure that she was coming in case she couldn't at the last minute.  After the wedding they ran directly for her!
Daniel gave Auntie Chela a big hug, he was so happy!
And of course, their other favorite out of towner, Auntie Davis.  Davis lives in Montana, so the kids don't get to see her often.  But when they do, they go nuts!  Auntie Davis is also Daniel's Godmother, along with the Bride, Michele.  He got lucky to have two of the best Godmothers in the world.

We had so much fun that day.  After more pictures, we went directly to the hotel, where we went up to the room & took the tuxedo off & the dress, gave them snacks & let them veg out.  It was a long day for both of them.  The food was amazing & Rachael & Daniel had an excellent time dancing with their Aunties & friends until Grandma Rose Ann & Boppa Reuben picked them up & took them home.

Congratulations to Michele & Nick Herntier :)

Daniel's New Bed...

When Daniel got home, he went straight to his room for a surprise....this is the look on his face when he saw it for the very first time.  Loves it!
He ran to his new bed & laid down on it immediately.  He said it was perfect & said "Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Mommy!  I Love my new bed!!!"
Proudly showing Grandma, Boppa, Great Uncle Bob, and Khari his new bed as soon as they got home from their trip to Montana.  They were very impressed with his big bed!

Khari & Rachael playing on the computer.  Khari is my Uncle Bob's "Little Brother" and they came out from Pennsylvania, and went out to Montana with my parents.  The kids fell in love with Khari IMMEDIATELY.

Our last day with Khari.  The kids wouldn't leave him alone.  They gave him TONS of pictures of themselves so he would never forget them.  Hopefully we get to see him again out here!

Soccer

Rachael playing Goalie

This was Rachael's first season of outside soccer.  I coached her along with a neighbor, whose daughter Zoe, is the same age.  I also am on the VAA Board, as the girls grades 3-4 Director, which keeps me VERY busy.

Waving to Boppa after stopping the ball!

At the beginning of the season, Rachael was very passive and would avoid the ball.  As everyone else would run after it and run in a clump to get it, she would circle around the clump so she didn't have to touch it.  On the rare occasion that the ball popped out & came to her, she would run from it.

Finally, one game we needed a game ball, so I grabbed Rachael's new red one.  All of a sudden, there was a new Rachael on the field!  Not only was she going after the ball, but she played goalie & was excellent!  I asked her after the game why the change, and she said because it was HER ball!

Her team was white, they named themselves the SNOW!
So, from there on, we made sure the game ball was always Rachael's.  She ended the season on such a great note.  She was defending, taking the ball away from the other team, passing to teammates, assisting on goals, and even scored her own goal!  She was so proud of herself, and has her trophy on the mantel for all to see.
In only a couple weeks, Fall Soccer begins.  I am going to coach in a different age group, so we will see how she does without Mommy being the coach.  I've signed her up to be on some friends' teams, so I'm sure she will love it!

The Kids' First Commercial!!!!

The kids were able to take part in the MN Zoo "Penguin Waddle" Commercial, through their modeling agency.  It was taped some time ago, and it was a chilly morning, but the kids had fun!  Here is the finished commercial & the "making of the commercial" I was sent by their agent.
