Officially Part of the Agency!!!!

Rachael is officially part of the Caryn Modeling Agency & is up on the website with shoots she's done previously!  She yelled & jumped around, she was so excited.  It's weird seeing her on there, my beautiful baby.  Here is the link for all to enjoy :)

Caryn Modeling Agency

As most of you know, Rachael has been modeling since she was a baby.  Mostly things for Target & JC Penney through Lifetouch, in Eden Prairie.  Over the years I have been contacted by agencies looking to sign her.  We decided that until she was old enough to say that she absolutely wanted to keep modeling, we wouldn't sign her with anyone.
Just before Christmas, the most prestigious agency in the Twin Cities, Caryn Model & Talent Management, called me & asked to set up a meeting.  After discussing it with Rachael, we went to the meeting on Friday...they signed her IMMEDIATELY!  She is so excited. Caryn works with lots of big names, for print work (what she's been doing) but also commercials, tv appearances, walking in shows, movies, etc.  She is so excited to try this & if she decides she doesn't like it, we can walk!

Above is her latest work, for Target's new Archival Program. It catalogs a child's pictures over the years & puts them together.

What an exciting opportunity for Rachael!  Daniel has been put on file & will also be used if a company is looking for boys in his age group or siblings!

The Blast

Thursday January 6, I volunteered in Rachael's classroom.  The teachers had baked these adorable train cars & each kid got to decorate it with candy & icing.  This is Rachael's top view.

This is a side view.  Notice the cute gummy life savers for the wheels & the black liccorice as the train tracks!  So adorable & the kids loved working on them.

I had the honor of bagging each of them up to take home to show their families.  I was also in charge of another project, painting cut out snowflakes.  The kids had to paint one side of the snowflake, and then I put them on the drying rack, they will paint the other side next week.  Seems simple but it was chaos!  I was so exhausted after class, I needed a nap before our evening plans began...
This is the prayer Rachael's class does at the beginning of each day.  It was so neat to watch all of her little friends praying...love the catholic school.

We went to the Eagan Community Center & played in THE BLAST.  It's another big climbing structure with slides & tubes.  We met our friends Mira & Sami, & their mom Lina.  We always have so much fun with them.  Daniel was so excited, in the van he kept saying "Sami & Mira my best friend."  When the girls saw each other there were BIG hugs.
We had so much fun, but were exhausted when we got home.  Dinner & straight to bed for all of us.

Happy New Year

Today, the kids came back from the cabin, in Iowa.  They were able to see their cousin Jordan & most of their Aunts & Uncles & extended family. It was a wonderful trip, they had fun, but 5 days was a LONG time to be away...we are so happy to have them home with us once again!

Tonight, we had Baby Emma's Birthday Party.  Notice the beautiful birthday crown Rachael made Emma, all by herself!  She used a little glue & kids scissors, I was so impressed, it looked great.  Above is the Cotton Candy Cake I made her, the kids split it & then headed straight to bath with sticky hands & faces.

 Sticky little Daniel
For Christmas, I bought Rachael an adorable twin bed tent, it was Disney Princesses & came with a pillow & sleeping bag.  I was so excited about the present, because it was similar to the one I had as a kid, and I remember loving mine.  Christmas Night my mom & I tried putting it together, we worked on it for almost an hour, trying to figure it out.  Finally, we realized that we hadn't gotten all the pieces to put it together.  So, I returned it with a disappointed little girl.
But grandma is so smart, & put the little yellow pop up tent on Rachael's bed instead. The corners extend over the 4 posts of her bed, so it doesn't move.  It's much roomier than the princess one would have been, she & Daniel love to lay down in it & read or play.

Presents from our favorite neighbor's, the Ploenzke Family...I used to babysit their boys, Chris, Matt & Greg.  Daniel's middle name is Gregory,in memory & honor of their son Greg .
Daniel got a car from a favorite movie of his, CARS.  It goes by itself quickly & Daniel laughs so hard as he runs after it.  Can't tell by this picture, but he truly loves this gift :)
Rachael got a Belle Princess Doll, which she is VERY excited about.  She has all of them now & screamed YES as she opened it up.  Thank You Ploenzke's for your thoughtful gifts, we love them & appreciate your love & kindness!

It is now, 2011.  Thank God 2010 is over & we survived.  With this new year, I am hopeful that we can continue to move forward & strengthen our relationships with one another & with our extended family.  Rachael said she is excited to try new things this year & keep being happy & loving Daniel & Mommy.  Daniel wants to complete his potty training & get all these ouchie teeth to come in!

We wish you & yours nothing but blessings, happiness & good health for this new year.
