I apologize for not blogging recently, but life has gotten bumpy & stressful. I will do my best to continue to blog as often as I can. I will start the Duluth Blog tomorrow, but since we have so many days to blog, it will take me some time. It's late, so I'll just go out of order & tell you about Rachael's First Track Meet today!
First, she is one of two preschoolers running against Kindergarten & First Grade Kids. She is MUCH smaller than the older kids, but she runs her heart out. She looks adorable running & all the other coaches love her for working so hard.
Waiting to be tagged for a relay race, then she runs down 75 yrds & tags the final runner from her team. That's a long way for those little legs in back to back races!
Pictures are out of order, but this is Rachael running the 100 meter dash, that is a LONG WAY. She got a pink ribbon for that race. Best part is I was assisting Rachael's coach at the finish line, so I got to cheer for her in her lane on the track...she ran right into my arms! She was so tired & I was so proud of her.
This is another relay where they slap hands. The girl in the green is our neighbor & is going into 1st grade & a head taller than Rachael.
Rachael's friend Sydney, who is super fast, gave Rachael a big hug after her 100 meter dash. She was proud of Rachael & that made her feel great!
All in all she got 4 ribbons, 2 pink & 2 white. Not bad for a little one. So proud & she is excited for next week!
Daniel ran back & forth on the bleachers & was so tired after the meet too!
Maybe in a few years he'll be a little track start too!
