Paideia Academy---NFL's Play 60 Winner!!!

What exciting news...Rachael's school, Paideia Academy, was selected as one of the NFL's Play 60 schools!  All 32 teams in the NFL had one school chosen from their respective state.  There were over 1200 other Minnesota schools that applied for the same contest.  Paideia won $10,000 to go towards health & wellness that will be used by the Physical Education department.


December 6th, their will be 5 Vikings Players and some Vikings Cheerleaders at an all school assembly.  Rachael's school is small, 396 students from K-8th grade.  No one thought Paideia would actually win, so everyone is beyond excited!  Rachael said that the day that it was announced over the loud speaker that they won, you could hear everyone cheering down the halls.  The gym needs a new floor desperately, and the money will be so wonderful for the students' physical education program.  This school can certainly benefit both from the money and the publicity it will receive.  


Rachael was not chosen as one of 50 to play with the Players in the gym, although she would've LOVED that.  But, being that she is in one of two Kindergarten classes, for all of the all school assemblies, her class is seated right up front, so she will be close to the players! She wants to ask them a question, although she hasn't come up with one yet.  If you've got an idea for her, add it as a comment under this blog, she'd sure appreciate it!
