Virginia Beach!!!

Just a quick blog...
I spoke with the kids this afternoon as they were arriving in Virginia Beach.  They were so excited to see the water, play in the sand & collect seashells.  It was wonderful to hear the excitement in their voices.


Tonight I spoke with Rachael who said she made a large sand castle with a new friend named Aiden.  I swear she can go anywhere in the world & make a new friend in a matter of minutes!  She also said that she got her clothes all wet because she went into the water & played!  I love it!  


When my brother, sister & I were younger, we would take a trip to Florida each winter.  One of my favorite memories was of the three of us running into the water (Becky & I had our swimsuits on) & diving into waves.  Bobby had normal clothes on, so after we were done, we had to go to Ron Jon's Surf Shop to get him something dry to wear.  But, he had to have a shirt on to go into the store, so he had to put on my new pink Minnie Mouse Shirt!  He is 4 years older than me, and I was TINY like Rachael, so picture a boy about 11 wearing a WAY too small shirt going into the store.  It was such a great day & a wonderful memory.


Today's playtime at the beach will be the same fun memories that my kids can remember for years to come.


Tomorrow afternoon they come home & I cannot wait to get my arms around them.  It is going to be wonderful to have them home safe & sound.  Pictures will be posted from their trip tomorrow!
